Mother’s Luv Community Organization (MLCO) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) founded in 2004, born from Jeanetta G. Edwards' early work with young women at Rose of Light MB Church in the Englewood community. MLCO empowers women facing life challenges through mentoring, coaching, counseling, and connections to essential resources that address insecurities like housing, food, and childcare. Our goal is to equip women with the tools they need to thrive and be sustained—mentally, physically, and spiritually—for themselves and their families.
Our team is a collective of caring professional counselors, business consultants, coaches, and mentors who are deeply rooted in the community and united by a shared commitment to walking alongside those we serve. We believe in the power of relationships and collaboration, working together to provide holistic support that meets people where they are. Together, we create a safe, nurturing space where healing, growth, and transformation are possible for every individual and family.
Our goal is to build meaningful partnerships with spiritual, political, educational, and community leaders who share a commitment to uplifting our neighborhoods. By working together, we aim to create lasting change—revitalizing our communities from the inside out and empowering women to lead, thrive, and nurture the next generation. It takes all of us, united in purpose, to build a stronger, more vibrant future for our families.
Your support and contributions help us grow a stronger, more connected community. Together, we can create opportunities for women and single mothers to build solid foundations—not just for themselves but their families and the neighborhoods we call home. Every gift is a step toward collective healing, empowerment
